Terrifying moment burning car hits tuk tuk in India
This is the terrifying moment a car catches fire while running and hits a tuk tuk.
Both the car and the tuk tuk drivers managed to get out of their vehicles in time and no one was hurt.
The incident occurred on a flyover Gurugram, Haryana, India on November 7.
The car owner Rakesh had gone out to distribute Diwali gifts to friends and family when his Honda City caught fire.
"I heard a strange sound in the car as soon as I started climbing the flyover. The car then suddenly burst into flames," Rakesh told reporters.
He jumped out of the car after trying to apply the brakes, which failed to work. He then ran behind the car cautioning other people on road.
The 2015 model car turned into a ball of fire and continued to move on the busy road as many vehicles scurried to get out of the way.
A tuk tuk, which failed to make way in time, was hit by the burning car and then dragged by it for some distance. But the driver bailed out in the nick of time.
A few onlookers managed to push the rickshaw out of the way and tried to stop the burning car unsuccessfully by putting bricks on its path.
The car stopped on its own after hitting a divider.
The car had been gutted by the time the fire engines arrived. The local police have registered a case and are probing the incident.
