Buster the 17-year-old rescue dog was so excited to see his owner again after four weeks away.

The senior dog is deaf so had an extra surprise when he realised his owner Alice was home from University.

The footage, captured in Manchester, shows Buster sleeping on the floor until he finally sees his owner again then going crazy for her being home.

“He is a rescue dog and we've had him for 13 wonderful years. We lost my mum suddenly last year, so now he is very attached to me. I live away from home for uni though so I only see him every few weeks. He gets very excited to see me because I am his favourite,” says Alice.
