A retired couple blasted their neighbour after he built a huge extension which overlaps their property - effectively turning their detached home into a SEMI.

Gerard, 70, and Christina White, 65, have lived in their spacious #275,000 four-bedroom home on a leafy street for 37 years.

But they fear their home is now "unsellable" after a property developer snapped up the house next door and built a whopping extension – just INCHES from their side wall.

Developer Mohammed Nazir bought number 61 The Hurst for #225,000 in 2012 and started building work within months – despite not having planning permission.

The 1930s detached houses, on The Hurst, in Moseley, Birmingham, are now so close their roofs overlap and they even share the same guttering.
