Rider and friend dodge speeding lorry in freak accident
A scooter rider and his friend came out alive from a mishap triggered by an incredible turn of events.
The rider had pulled over on the side of a road to take a call near Calicut in Kerala, India, on November 12.
A CCTV camera filmed him speaking over the cell phone without turning off the scooter engine.
Three friends, who were on foot approached the rider, and stopped to talk to him. As they waited for him to finish his call, one of them turned the accelerator of the scooter.
The scooter went off on a wheelie dragging both the rider and the friend to the middle of the road.
Just then an over-speeding lorry overtook them smashing the scooter and sparing both the men by inches.
