An emotional mother has shared a video of her son on his death bed in hospital. Philip Kramer, from New York, passed away on the 6th November 2017 after being on life support.

He suffered a drug overdose after years of dealing with mental illness and drug addiction, leading to swelling on the brain. His family made the decision to take him off life support. His mother, Donna DeStefano-Miller, admits he was ‘In and out of rehab for a good part of his life.’

On October 27th 2017, Philip got in touch with his regular drug dealers. He was then found unresponsive by a roommate later that evening.

Philip can be heard engaging in his very last phone call before his death, as well as playing with his young children.

A year on from the father-of-two’s death, his mother has shared an emotional tribute on her Facebook profile. It reads ‘My heart will always be with you’, before thanking friends for their support.

The video is my son Philip. He had been battling 10 year's of Mental and Drug Addiction. He was in and out of rehab's for a good part of his life. He was finally able to get the help he needed in the later part of 2014. Prior to that his rehab stay's were normally 3 - 5 day's where they just wrote him out script's and sent him on his way. He was even misdiagnosed several time's. My son had manic depression from the age 12. At the age of 18 he broke a bone and was given high dose of pain killer's. His addiction just snowballed from there. Between the wrong Diagnose's and wrongly treated manic depression , my son had no chance. How does one overdose from street bought Xanax get's rushed to the hospital unresponsive released 2 day's later with a script for 120 Xanax??? These so called Doctor's need to slow down and help instead of just writing a script and hoping it works???
On Oct 27, 2017 my son wrote to a few people telling them he was craving. Of cause these dealers came to his rescue! My son was found by a roommate at 5:20 unresponsive. The police had shown up first, sadly had they had been trained to administer Narcan this video would not be present today! It took 12 mins for the Paramedics to arrive. According to the police report, my son had opened his eye's for a sec. He was rushed to the hospital where they tried to save my son. I called everyone who sold my son drug's, every single one of them denied selling him anything. I did hand everything over to the police, but of course nothing is being done!! Every police officer, should be aware of Drug induced homicide!
