Gruesome footage shows the moment a wild python was caught and forced to regurgitate a two-month-old PUPPY.

The serpent pounced on the female dog as she scampered around the yard at the home in Chachoengsao, Thailand, yesterday morning.

It swallowed the hapless puppy named 'Love Love' then slithered off under a pile of wooden crates to digest its meal.

Owner Pongsee Parapitak said she went outside to give food to her two pet puppies but only one of them came running over. She then made the chilling discovery of the python.

Pongsee, who also runs a small restaurant at the home, said: ''I brought food out for the puppies but I could only find one of them. I found the snake lying on the ground and curled up. I knew straight away that my puppy had been eaten.

''She was only two months old. I have had her and her brother, Love, since they were born. I'm very sad but I am glad that we have the body back from the snake so we can do a proper funeral service.''

Rescue workers arrived after Pongsee called for help and they dragged the serpent into the open. It was found to be around two metres long.

The snake spent five minutes regurgitating the puppy before it then slithered away into nearby woodland.

Arnon Sangkaew from the Chachoengsao Rescue Foundation said: ''The snake was about three times bigger than the dog. It was not a large python. But it was brave to eat such a big animal. It went away into the forest afterwards.''
