This couple had a shock when they found a large moose exploring their back-yard in Washington State, USA.

The footage shows a large male moose looking around a backyard before coming straight up to the window for a staring contest with the filmer.

“We live in Spokane Valley, we usually have a lot of deer visiting eating our leftover apples from our trees,” the filmed Frank explains.

“Our dogs went flying out their doggy door barking like crazy, I got up to see what it was and here was this giant moose shaking his head at our dogs. I got them back in the house and started shooting pictures with my phone,” he continued.

After the video the moose went over to Frank’s apple tree and ate the rest of the fruit he could reach before leaving.

I got up to see what it was and here was this giant moose shaking his head at our dogs. I got them back in the house and started shooting pictures with my phone. Then it turned and started walking up to the house so I turned on the video and started video taping the moose. After shooting the movie it went back over to the apple trees and proceeded to eat all the rest of the apples it could reach. This lasted about 30 minutes then it stepped over my neighbors 5' fence and we never saw him again. He has been hanging around our neighborhood for about three days and is still out searching for food every night. We feel pretty lucky that we got to experience this, I was honestly a little concerned when he came up to the window, about 3' from my face, and looked in. We had all the lights out in the house so I'm fairly sure he couldn't see in.
