Angry snake flies 30ft off roof to attack rescuer
A member from a team of snake rescuers captured the moment on his Go-Pro when a non-venomous rat snake jumped on him during a rescue operation at a warehouse in the Pathadi village in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, India.
In the video, the team of rescuers can be seen entering a house where a snake was spotted in the ceiling.
The reptile was said to have been spotted by one of the members of the warehouse while it was crawling on the ceiling.
Abhijit Mahale, a member from the rescue team had told the owner of the warehouse to ignore the snake but the scared owner refused to let go of the snake and asked Abhijit to rescue it.
On the insistence of the owner when the man tried nudging the snake, it came right upon him. Later, he took it outside the warehouse to be rescued inside a snake bag and released.
In the video, the thrifty reptile can be seen trying to escape the grip of Abhijit as it can be seen violently hissing as it turns and twists to relieve itself from the grip. The rescuer tries to put the snake away from his body but the desperate reptile jumps to scare him off in a bid to force him from loosening the grip.
An old lady can also be seen standing with a snake-bag, she then extends the bag to one of the men who tries struggling with the long snake to put it inside to be released into the jungle hardly 500 metres away from the spot.
The man then manages to put the non-venomous creature inside the bag and takes it away from the warehouse to be released.
