We took a day trip to the Salon Sea. It was totally magical, although the lake is drying up. As a result, salinity levels are high. There is a fine layer of silt that makes for quicksand-like condition on the shore. Where it's not quicksand, it's made up of crushed fish bones and shells. Truly a unique environment.
