Indian truck's brakes fail causing near miss on loaded school bus
In what could have otherwise led to a tragic end of tens of school children, a wary lorry driver tactfully averted a collision with a school bus with children aboard.
According to sources, a lorry laden with sacks of rice was headed from Dharmapuri railway station to the warehouse of civil supplies in Bharathipuram and was driven by on Palani.
In the video clip, two school buses carrying school children from their houses are seen entering the premises of a school, after making a U-turn just opposite the school entrance.
While the first bus entered the school, the second bus which followed could have suffered a fatal collision, possibly resulting in mass casualities when the lorry which came on the same road lost control due to brake failure.
But, thanks to the wariness of the driver who handled the life-threatening situation with tactfulness by prudently steering away from the school bus, seconds before it could collide and rammed adjacently on the wall of the government hospital that was situated opposite the school. None were reportedly injured during the incident.
The incident happened on 17 November in Dharmapuri Distric Tamil Naidu
