RFA Argus leaves Falmouth for West Africa to assist with the ebola crisis.

RFA Argus, a medical ship with a fully-equipped 100-bed hospital on board, left Falmouth today on its way to Sierra Leone. The vessel will not be used to treat Ebola-infected patients, but mainly to transport supplies and to ferry personnel.

The ship is packed with food, medical equipment and thousands of bottles of water and has a state of the art casualty unit.

More than 750 servicemen and women are on board.
