Alice Gross murder: Police frogmen search canal bed
A police frogman emerges from the murky waters of the Grand Union Canal, at Brentford, Middlesex, as the investigation continues into the suspected murder of local schoolgirl Alice Gross, 14.
This spot is directly opposite the place where chief suspect Arnis Zalkalns, from Latvia, was found hanged in Boston Manor Park.
Much of the park has been dug over by officers searching for evidence. But now they have finished that part of the investigation and are switching their attention to the canal.
Frogmen are diving from the towpath which Alice is believed to have walked along on the fateful night – only to be caught up with by Zalkalns on his bike.
