They are a relatively diverse group of waterfowl. The semipalmated sandpiper, Calidris pusilla, a very small wader bird of the Scolopacidae family. Semipalmated sandpipers are long-distance migrants, winter in the coasts of South America, some winter in the coasts of the south of North America and the Antilles. Migrate in flocks that can add hundreds of thousands. In these images they feed on the shores of the Costa Azul, beaches of western El Salvador.
