Victoria BC's New cycling lanes and traffic control lights are creating a city for cyclists.

The city of Victoria, B.C. is creating a 32 kilometre network of cycling paths and lanes to encourage people to cycle and reduce car trips into the downtown core. There are protected bike lanes in downtown Victoria dedicated traffic control lights for cyclists. There are street sharing bike lanes around the city and in surrounding communities. The city plans to complete construction of its cycling infrastructure by 2022. Victoria's bike lanes connect to the network of cycling paths in the Capital Regional District that allow people to ride on bike paths or in bike lanes on streets and roads. The CRD says it now has more than seven hundred kilometres of bicycle paths and lanes.
