A bull had a lucky escape earlier this week when it emerged unharmed after being run over by a train in the Indian state of Bihar.

The animal went to sit on the tracks between two carriages on Friday afternoon but then fell asleep and only woke up when the train began to pull away from Motihari station.

Unable to stand, the bull was forced to lie between the tracks as the train passed inches above the bovine.

After a few moments, though, the bull spied its opportunity and managed to dart out to safety in the gap between two carriages.

The animal lived to fight another day with nothing more than a few scratches.

A bull had a narrow escape from death after it got trapped under the running train and in between the railway track at Motihari in the state of Bihar in India.

The four-legged animal got trapped under the train while it was sitting in between the tracks as the carriages of the train hurled over it unalarmed.

Woken up by the sound of the train passing over it, the bull couldn’t help much but preferred to lay still in the trapped space while trying to save its mouth protruding outside the track twice as the wheels roll over.

A bystander who saw the trapped bovine immediately took out his mobile phone and captured its helpless situation.

In the video, the bull can be seen trapped under the train while already staying low in order to avoid being hit as the carriages continued rolling over the animal in speed.

It continues to remain under the carriages for a while but suffocated it gives up and tries coming out from between the wheels.

Half of its body still under the track it struggles to come out but fails and is dragged by the moving carriage.

As the carriage comes to an end, the bull can be seen being hit with the rail guard of the carriage and it somehow gets a little space to come out after which it immediately escapes through the available space and is finally out to safety.

The bull escaped without major injury and with just a few minor scratches on his body due to the struggle while coming out from under the train.
