Red tailed hawk baby in nest

Buy video

Warning - this video is ten minutes long! But if you enjoy watching wildlife and red tailed hawks in particular - then you might enjoy this! A lot of bird and wildlife watching is just standing around waiting for something to happen! It can be quite boring! But I love it! I love watching wildlife - even if they are only sleeping! On this day - Monday 25 June 2018 - I saw for the first time clearly - a young red tailed hawklet so I made the most of the encounter and filmed several short segments which I put together for this video! I'm quite far away so as not to disturb the nest site - and it was amazing to me! A few short weeks later the young red tail flew off - fully fledged!
