Protestors marched in Hoover, Alabama on November 26 following the killing of 21-year-old Emantic Bradford Jr during a mall shooting.

According to local media, protestors gathered shortly after 6 p.m. outside the Hoover Police Department. Just before 7 p.m., the group made their way into Highway 31, blocking traffic in the process before marching to Riverchase Galleria mall.

"We can say with certainty Mr Bradford brandished a gun during the seconds following the gunshots, which instantly heightened the sense of threat to approaching police officers responding to the chaotic scene," police said of the incident on November 23.

The updated police statement read: "New evidence suggests that while Bradford may have been involved in some aspect of the altercation, he likely did not fire the rounds that injured the 18-year-old victim."

This shooting has reignited a nationwide debate about racial profiling of black Americans.

As of the time of writing, the initial shooter is yet to be arrested.
