A small pooch has been captured standing on his friend’s shoulders in order to join in on a game of tug-of-war.

The two dogs were caught holding themselves up on a rope using only their teeth - with the smallest hound, a Boston Terrier, utilising his buddy’s larger size.

The amusing moment has spun the precariously positioned dogs into the internet limelight after the video, filmed at a dog kennel in October in Denver, Colorado, went viral.

Contrary to belief, tug-of-war is said not to encourage aggressive behaviour from dogs but instead is a great way to reduce stress for your four legged companion.
