A double amputee from the US has overcome his injuries from a horrific train accident and inspired many, after he showing his skill in downhill skateboarding.

Footage from yesterday (November 28) shows Daniel Edmonson, who was involved in a traumatic accident where he was run over by a train while jumping between the cars.

The incident resulted in Edmonson losing both of his legs below the knee, but this hasn't stopped him being adventurous or outgoing as he explains he wants to reach: "the fastest speed achieved by a bilateral amputee on a skateboard."
