Dozens of lambs from 30-year-old frozen embryos debut in China
由全国及浙江省畜牧技术推广总站在湖州长兴湖羊原种场共同组织实施的30年冷冻精液配种试验近日宣告成功，这批诞生的湖羊成为我国历史上“最冻龄”的湖羊。此次组织实施湖羊冻精配种试验的成功，是畜禽保种技术和保种方法评定的重大突破，对探索我国特有畜禽品种，特别是珍贵、稀有、濒危畜禽品种的保种具有深远意义
10月11日上午，在长兴永盛牧业有限公司的湖羊养殖场内看到，刚出生的小羔羊们，活泼可爱,和普通湖羊比较,冻精配种产下的羔羊具有典型的波浪形花纹羊毛，花纹明显、清晰、紧贴皮板，光泽度好。该养殖场负责人告诉记者，这批小羔羊虽然才出生30多天，但严格意义上有些已经“30岁”了。
据了解，此次配种试验采用的冻精是1988年、1998年由浙江省农科院在杭州余杭、湖州吴兴两地湖羊保种场采集，其由于在零下196℃的液氮中保存，达到几乎“静止”的状态。今年4月份，永盛牧业选出了55只受体母羊进行配种，经过140天左右的孕期，自9月5日起，试验母羊陆续生产，共诞生49只小羔羊。
接下来专家组将对冻精后代的群体规模、体型外貌特征、生产性能等进行综合评估。
