Five-legged cow spotted in India is said to bring luck to the devotees who worship it
A bystander filmed an unusual cow with an extra leg hanging from the hump area of its body somewhere in India.
In the video, the cow can be seen standing in one of the corners of the road as people come and touch its horns and the additional leg that protrudes from its hump.
People believe that touching the 5th leg of the cow can bring them good luck. Cows with such deformities are usually considered holy in India.
While the experts believe that such additional legs are mere deformities of the undeveloped part of its twin and have nothing to do with the holiness of the cow.
Hindu priests and believers have claimed that such cows usually bring luck to the person who touches its feet.
The video was widely shared on the social media with the message to forward it and get lucky. While most of the social media users termed it unusual, the firm believers passed on the message in a hope to get lucky.
A message on one of the popular social media messaging service read, “Pass this on to 5 different people and you will hear something good today.”
Another person commented, “This is mere biological defect and has nothing to do with forwarding the message.”
Indians especially Hindus are sensitive towards cows as they consider cow as a god. This is the reason why India imposes a beef ban. Although India ranks number 1 in beef export, the Hindu activists have refuted the claim by saying that beef meat is that of Buffaloes instead of cows.
