A lost bear wandered into an eastern Indian village, injuring four, before being restrained by forest officials and then escaping again from a net and retreating into the woods.

The bear's rampage, which took place on May 11 in the village of Sendrbhantha, in Chhattisgarh state, was caught on video by a number of villagers. We can see the animal trapped in a fishing net used by the forest officials to restrain it, before breaking out and mauling one last villager and fleeing over a hill and up a tree.

The bear had come from a nearby forest and wandered from one village to Sendrbhantha and attacked two youths there, causing villagers to attack it to try and drive it away. The bear was chased into a narrow two-foot-wide alley, where forest officials corralled it into a fishing net on one side, which it broke through before its final escape, scaling a tree.

Superintendent AK Bindraj said that the bear should have gone away by itself in the forest after being allowed to sneak away.

Bear wandered from the forest of reservoir and reached the village of Korsi Chattisargarh.. The Bear injured four villagers one after another. The forest official were informed & with the help of police and the forest staff took the trap and reached the spot.. The bear came out breaking the trap and struck a villager and wounded him. After this the bear escaped from there and climbed to the tree. He is waiting for his landing.

The bear wandered from the forest and reached a village near on Kosi Road. After this the bear ran away from there and reached village Sendrbhantha and injured two youths there. When looking at the bear, the villagers started attacking him, he feared & enter in near by house and went into hiding. From there, the bear entered into a two feet wide street.
When the wager did not work for catching it villagers & forest officals arranged for a fishing net. In a two-foot wide street, a trap was imposed on one side to catch the lean bear and on the other hand, the villagers tried to scare them & making Noise. A crowd of villagers was also engaged on the spot. After a long delay, the bear came running out of the street and ran a trap at the village.
As soon as soon as Bear Rescued himself he attacked a villager, the villager got rid of the bear some how. After that the bear went to the rushing to the farm and climbed to the tree situated in village.Superintendent AK Bindraj said that the bear has ascended the tree & will go away by itself in the forest..
