This Thai restaurant is a must visit for any plane spotters - they can eat their dinner while aircraft come into land above their heads every few minutes.

The idyllic food outlet is set next to a lake with dozens of swans and fountains just a few hundreds metres from the runway at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand.

Aircraft of all sizes from around world arrive every few minutes, slowly descending as diners eat traditional Thai dishes in the 19th-century Asian themed destination.

Footage filmed last weekend at the Ko Lanta Restaurant shows how guests eat and pose for selfies with Boeing and Airbus vehicles roaring overhead.

Visitor Fah Manuson said: ''I heard about the cafe online and wanted to visit. It was a really nice place to have food but it was also interesting to see the planes coming in. They're very close and I like to hear the thrust of the engines.

''I love eating and I love planes so it was perfect for me. There were Boing 747s and Boeing 777s as well as a lot of short haul aircraft.''
