The reptile was spotted when a resident in Bhadrak district in Odisha, eastern India, turned on her air conditioning and found a snake's tail sticking out of the unit.

They immediately contacted an expert in rescuing snakes, as crowds gathered and an arduous recovery took place the snake was finally released from the grasp of the cooler.

The reptile expert distinguished the cold-blooded creature as a Bronze Back Snake, which in most cases in non-venomous, but that doesn't assuage the fears of those close by when the snake charmer waved its slender body in front of residents.
