Footage shows the moment students duck under tables as 7.0-magnitude strikes Anchorage, Alaska
A 7.0-magnitude earthquake rattled the city of Anchorage, Alaska, on November 30, cracking roadways and causing damage to buildings and structures.
Seismologists called the earthquake the most significant in Anchorage since the 1964 Good Friday earthquake, in terms of how strong the ground itself shook and severity of impact.
This video shows the moment students at Dimond High School ducked under tables as the earthquake struck at 8:30 am local time. The lights are seen going out and an alarm blaring.
The state has been hit by more than a thousand aftershocks since the initial earthquake, local media reported. There were no significant injuries.
