The world's longest escalator is in Hong Kong
Hong Kong Island has the world's longest covered escalator, named Central Escalator. From Des Voeux Road Central it runs for over 800 metres and rises over 135 metres to Conduit Road in twenty minutes. It runs upwards from 10 am till midnight and downwards from 6 am till 10 am.The adjacent streets border Sheung Wan and are accessible from the escalator. Many are pedestrian only and provide interesting views of old Hong Kong.
