Guest at Dutch hotel finds water pouring in through their room ceiling
A hotel guest was shocked to find water streaming out of light fittings in the ceiling of his hotel room in Zaandam, in the northern Netherlands.
The Zaandam hotel had suffered a burst pipe in the room above. Over a period of hours water accumulated in the floor space before eventually flooding into the room below by 1:00am on December 3.
A plumber was called out in the middle of the night and made emergency repairs. The guest was fully refunded and said the hotel treated him very well, and for this reason he didn't wish to name it.
