Heartwarming moment female dog trapped in barbed wire is rescued
People of a village in Ganjam district of Odisha, India, spotted a female dog trapped in barbed wire on December 5.
As she had struggled to free herself overnight, the wires had cut into her, making her bleed.
She was also in enormous pain and was unable to feed her litter which was closeby.
The villagers of Buguda called Harish Padhi, a volunteer of Snake Helpline, for help.
Harish and his friends carefully closed the mouth of the dog and freed from the wire fence gently.
She was so traumatised, she was unable to move from the place even after she was freed.
Harish moved her gently and then realising that she was free, she fled to feed her pups.
Subhendu Mallik, General Secretary of Snake Helpline, said: "Although we don't much experience in handling dogs, Harish managed the situation well. We hope the minor injuries she sustained would heal soon".
