CCTV: Police chase, car crashes, man runs

Buy video

Woken at night by a crash, sirens and flashing lights.
Found my car had been rear ended by another car, who as you can see in the video was in fact somebody fleeing from the police who lost it on the corner of our street.
The guy runs off, but is not caught by police... strangely as they were in a car and on foot.
Police were not interested in the video, also strangely.
As the car was stolen, there was no cover from the third party insurance for damage to my car.
I had fully comp, but still had to pay the excess.
To add insult to this experience, it took 2 months to get repaired and then at three months (to the day), somebody did it again at another location while parked not in sight of cameras. Insurance refused to pay for the second incident as it was so close to the first.
