Footage has emerged of a landslide that brought down houses, shops and roads along with it in the Jammu and Kashmir region of India.

In the video captured by one of the residents, the land can be seen coming down at once unalarmed. The houses built on top can also be seen crashing down along with the landslide. A tin house can be seen somersaulting as the land comes melting down from the hill 200-ft above the ground.

The residents who were present there couldn’t get enough time to escape as the catastrophe came unalarmed killing them on the spot.

The person who filmed the incident can be heard saying, “Oh God! The entire land is coming down. People might have been there. Oh the road has also come down”

The people working in the nearby under the constructed building can also be seen running to save their lives.

Jammu and Kashmir region was severely hit by floods and landslides killing almost 500 people due to the natural calamity, although the exact number of dead is still not known.
