Indian woman floats mysteriously after falling into 30-feet deep water
A woman survived by floating mysteriously after falling into 30-feet deep water accidentally.
A video shot by police personnel shows the woman floating on her back while calmly lying still.
An onlooker Ritesh Ojha said: “It looked like she was lying on her bed and resting in peace.”
The incident occurred at an irrigation canal near Sundernagar in Himachal Pradesh, India, on December 6.
The woman from a nearby village slipped and fell into water. As the current carried her away onlookers raised an alarm fearing that she may drown.
But they were baffled to see her strangely afloat.
A police team which was in the area rushed to rescue her. Head Constable Vishal Thakur jumped into the water and brought her out safely.
A senior police official said: “Her loose robes possibly puffed up with air and kept her afloat till we could rescue her.”
