A wealthy couple who bought a 16th century Cotswold pub have been hounded out after being trolled by locals angry at their “tacky” £40,000 refurbishment. Stephen Allely, 59, and Jacqueline Harding, 58, bought the Grade II listed Fox and Hounds after the previous landlady became ill. They paid £325,000 for the award winning freehold pub which sits in the centre of the idyllic Warwickshire village of Great Wolford. The inn dates back to the 1540s and its location in the heart of the Cotswolds means it attracts thousands of visitors every year.
