Horrific footage shows man out on morning walk mowed down by a speeding car
A CCTV camera has captured the moment a man was mowed down by a speeding car while he was on a morning walk during the wee hours in Surat of Gujarat in India.
In the short video, the man can be seen walking on the street as heavy vehicles ply on the busy road.
It was just a few moments later that a car was seen approaching from behind and mowing down the man in speed. The car was unable to brake as it was running at a speed of almost 60 mph as the road was empty.
The man can be seen flying off in the air as soon as he was hit by the speeding car. The driver then speeds away immediately without helping the man. A few onlookers who saw the incident rushed for help.
The man was rushed to the hospital and admitted for treatment. The police have started an investigation and trying to identify the culprit. A police officer has said that the car driver will be booked as per the vehicle act under ‘Hit and Run’ case.
The man is still in the hospital and fighting for his life as the doctors have termed his condition as ‘critical’ as of now.
The family of the man has demanded the police to identify the culprit and arrest him immediately.
