An eight-year-old boy was forced to take the wheel of a speeding car on a dual carriageway as his mother suddenly had a seizure earlier this month (December 3).

The shocking incident occurred near Colchester on the A12 as traffic was travelling at approximately 65mph.

As the boy's mother went into a state of collapse, he steered the car onto the bank across the hard shoulder.

Other motorists appear to notice the erratic nature of what was happening and respond in a concerning manner stopping the Ford Ka from hitting one of the signs.
