An amusing video has emerged of a dad performing a magic trick to introduce his children to their new puppy.

In the footage, filmed at the family’s home in Waconia, MN, USA on Sunday, the father tells his children that he can shrink the family’s Burmese Mountain Dog ‘Dudley’.

After arranging for a ‘magic box’, he then pulls a puppy, named ‘Giant’, out from under a blanket to the delight of his young son and daughter.

“We thought it would be a cute idea to surprise the kids this way and it was a total shock to them as we never even talked about getting a new puppy with the kids. The shock in their faces when I lifted Giant up, will always be a memory I won't forget” he later wrote online.
