An elephant calf and its mother were rescued after being trapped in a well for a day in Ahetuwewa in Sri Lanka.The heartwarming video shows wildlife Officials using a digger to help save the two distressed elephants.The workers had to dig a path for the elephants so that they could navigate their way out of the well.It took more than 4 hours for the officials to launch the operation and rescue the mother and elephant calf.A Farmer noticed the elephants in the well when he had gone for work and informed the officials.The local villagers helped the wildlife officials and brought the digger and help the operation.After making their way out of the well, the elephants made their way into the nearby forest range.
