Two elephants lock trunks and fight each other bringing the traffic to a standstill in Tamil Nadu, southern India
A group of tourists have filmed two wild tuskers attacking each other in the Mudumalai National Park in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu in southern India.
The tourist van was passing by the road when the tourists noticed an unusual view of two tuskers wrestling each other and captured it in their professional cameras.
In the video, two elephants are seen fighting each other where they both lock their trunks and fight head to head bringing the traffic to a standstill.
One of the tuskers is then seen attacking the other with full force as the second tusker runs away from it. It chases the tusker from behind as the other one runs scared from it.
The second tusker is then seen standing at a distance blocking the road as the dominant one watches it from inside the bushes of the jungle.
Both of them look at each other for a while as the scared onlookers raise an alarm and inform the forest officials.
The forest officials rush to the spot and try to break their fight but it falls on deaf ears as they keep fighting for a while.
None of the elephants was injured in the incident. A local survey report has established the fact that the animals are injured more while fighting each other than by the poachers.
