Premier League side Tottenham have revealed today (January 9) that their new stadium will not be ready to host matches until March at the earliest.

Tottenham were originally supposed to move into the new White Hart Lane stadium in north London in September but the project has had delays.

Footage filmed last month from pitchside shows the inside of the stadium, captured by a fan.

The fan captured the footage from the pitchside just in front of the player's tunnel.

When the stadium is completed it will host not just soccer matches but events such as the NFL.

In a statement, Tottenham said: "We are now liaising with the contractors and building control at Haringey Council to determine a schedule of commissioning, building test dates and building control sign-offs, along with formal test event dates."

Chairman Daniel Levy said: “I should like to apologise to our fans and thank you for your continued patience.

"We shall now seek clarity in respect of building test schedules and test event dates and provide further information on these in the next two to three weeks.”
