Watch the moment US rocket Antares explodes seconds after lift-off

Amateur footage of the unmanned Antares rocket explosion in Virginia in October 2014.

The footage, captured from NASA's Wallops Island Visitor Center, shows the moment the unmanned craft burst into flames seconds after taking off from and the aftermath as rocket fuel plumed into the sky. The rocket had taken off from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility.

The rocket was due to carry nearly 5,000lb (2,200kgs) of supplies to six astronauts aboard the International Space Station.
