Shocking moment JCB used to bulldoze & chase herd of elephants in southern India.

Terrified villagers raised the alarm after they spotted 5 elephants in their vicinity. A JCB was used to bulldoze and chase away a herd of Elephants at Chinna Thadagam in Coimbatore. Villagers said they feared for their lives and say the hungry animals destroy their standing crops and also enter the brick kilns and destroy the units.
Experts blame the growing conflict with elephants on the rapid expansion villages, which have encroached into elephant territory. Elephants migrate long distances in search of food and require large areas to support their ecological needs. To minimise the conflict, a plan have to revive elephant corridors to facilitate free unhindered movement of jumbos. Forest division Mr.Venkatesh said since the jeeps cant be used in the rough terrain we used JCB S but the animal was only chased.
