A video has emerged of Liverpool footballer Mario Balotelli clashing with Swansea City footballer Jonjo Shelvey at the end of a Capital One Cup match at Anfield on Tuesday night.

The video, captured by a supporter in the stands, shows a heated altercation between the two players just as they were walking into the tunnel.

Shelvey can be seen pointing and making gestures at Balotelli, appearing to refer to an earlier incident in the match.

Fortunately, Liverpool teammate Martin Skrtel was able to come between the two players, preventing them from coming to blows.

Liverpool won the match 2-1, with Balotelli coming off the bench to score an 86th minute equaliser.
