Operations have resumed at Birmingham Airport after a suspension due to an air traffic control fault.

Video filmed from inside a delayed Iberian Airways flight to Madrid showed a plane landing on an adjacent runway.

Passenger Bob Norman's plane was due to take off at 18:05 but had still not departed more than three hours later.

Norman filmed ground staff hovering around the IB3635 flight and airline staff placating passengers with complimentary drinks.

In the video, airline staff can be heard apologising and explaining that there would be additional delays.

8:50 taxied to runway but lights now back on and another hour wait.
