Mom gifted surprise puppy for Christmas after losing her two dogs
Anyone who knows our family knows that our pets are a huge part of our family. My parents lost both their dogs within a year span. One due to old age, but the other was extremely hard as she was only 5 years old and it was very sudden. During that time my mom was diagnosed with early on set dementia. After a grieving period, my Dad decided that it was time to get a new dog since my mom needed a companion on her hard days with dementia. My Dad, sister’s and I quickly hatched a plan to surprise my mom for Christmas. She had zero clue that she would be getting a puppy. Needless to say, it was a success! Welcome to the family Abby.
