A member of the public searches in vain for survivors in the aftermath of the deadly tsunami in Indonesia a week ago.

The video, which was filmed in Pandeglang, West Java on December 24, shows destroyed buildings with rubble and other debris covering the ground.

The filmer calls out in the hope of a response from survivors but is met with silence.

Indonesia's disaster agency says more than 400 people are confirmed dead with 20 or so still missing.

In excess of 40,000 have been displaced

The tsunami, triggered by landslides from the erupting Anak Krakatau volcano, killed at least 400 people according to Indonesia’s disaster agency. More than 1,500 people were injured and thousands displaced in villages along Java and Sumatra coasts.
