The tourists all feel shuddering when they see the snakes on the branches. One tourist exclaimed snakes are even more than leaves on the tree. This snake likes to live on the tree, They form a solid herd around the tree. They protect the tree and attack anyone who intends to approach the tree. The snakes are nourished to treat snakebites and demonstrated venom extraction and some of its uses.
This is the largest snake farm in Vietnam. The Snake farm was built in 1979 and named "Dong Tam Snake Farm". Dong Tam Snake Farm is one of the country’s largest snake-raising centers where venom is produced for local use and export, with its collection of over 50 species of poison snake.
Snake farm is open to visitors every day. Admission costs 1.5 USD for adults and 1 USD for children. Everyone will be able to see poison snakes and be guided by experts on how to avoid them.
In addition, the farm is a miniature hospital with treatment for patients bitten by venomous snakes. The farm has saved thousands of people suffering from snakebite every year.
