Heartwarming moment Indian forest official takes baby elephant to mother
The heartwarming moment an Indian forest official carries a baby elephant on his shoulders in order to take it back to its mother, after it fell into a canal.
The elephant calf was part of a herd that had been passing though the forests in Nellimala, Ooty, southern India when it fell and got stuck in the mud.
Its mother had reportedly been damaging vehicles and chasing people away so locals called in the officials, who managed to rescue it and give it glucose and coconut water, before reuniting it with its mother.
The footage was filmed in December 2017.
