A major fire broke out in a train carrying 200 passengers from Kumrhati to Shimla in Himchal Pradesh state, northern India.

Reports said the engine of the train had caught fire, and footage shows smoke coming out of the train moments after the train driver doused the fire.

All the passengers were evacuated and following the engine's replacement, they boarded and continued their journey to Shimla.

Breaking News Shimla....Fire break out in train No. 52455(Himalayan Queen) between Kumarhati and Saharanpur on Kalka Shimla heritage section in Solan district of the state.The train was on its way to Shimla which started at 12.:10 from Kalka and fire break out nearly around 2:30 and was doused by the driver. There were around 200 passengers in seven boggies, the Engine was later changed and passengers safly boarded to Shimla.."All passengers are safe and relief engine has been connected ..Three to Four train timing have been affected due to the Engine failiure.we shall shuttle the narrow gauge train passengers with the other connecting trains.They will not face any problem.
