This is the moment an overloaded mini-tractor lost control, moved in circles for 16 times before plunging off the road in Sri Lanka.

The incident that happened on December 31, 2018, was captured on CCTV camera installed in front of a shop in Urubokka of Matara district in the southern province.

The clip show the over-loaded mini tractor that mainly used for tiling small tracts of land and carrying farm produce carrying as many as six people, including the driver. The driver loses control as he tries to navigate a small turn through the hilly road. He turns the handle a little too much towards his right making the vehicle spin in a circle.

As the tractor takes a semi-circle, the driver and a passenger fall off the vehicle. They try to stop the vehicle but fail to do so. In the meantime, the tractor keeps spinning like a fidget with four people still onboard, crying for help. One of the passengers that fell off the tractor devised a plan to stop the vehicle by putting branch of tree on its path.

The trick worked partially as the tractor changed its course slightly, but took 12 more rounds before another branch was put under the wheels to make it stop. Though the vehicle didn’t stop, the branches certainly helped changed its track. The vehicle started moving in an diagonal direction — from one corner of the road to the other. The tractor finally stopped after hitting the bushes on the right side of the road. All the four occupants suffered minor injuries in the incident.
