Hundreds of demonstrators wearing yellow vests marched through central London on Saturday to call for a general election.

Crowds were seen wearing the vests bearing slogans such as “Britain is Broken."

The event, which was organised by The People’s Assembly Against Austerity, comes ahead of a crucial parliament vote on Tuesday on Theresa May's Brexit deal.

Hundreds of demonstrators in yellow vests gathered outside the BBC in London this afternoon, 12th January.

The demonstrators believe Britain is "broken", and a general election should be called.

Some at the demo also expressed support for refugees.

The demo also attracted counter-protesters who branded them "fake yellow vests".
