Street dog that got its head stuck inside a plastic jar rescued after hours-long operation in India
A dog was rescued by the Blue Cross of India volunteers after it got its head stuck inside a plastic jar in Chennai, southern India.
In the video, the canine is seen running confused inside a local jungle after getting the plastic jar stuck on its head.
One of the volunteers spotted the canine roaming blindly in the condition and came to its rescue.
In the video captured by one of the members of the animal welfare organization, the canine can be seen holding a black plastic jar on its face as it struggles to get it out.
The volunteers first cut open the base of the jar in order to help the animal breathe freely and have a clear vision.
Then one of the volunteers can be seen holding the animal while the other man can be seen trying to release the plastic jar from its head.
After a long struggle, the jar was taken off its head. As soon as the jar is taken off, the nervous dog can be seen running away inside the jungle.
One of the volunteers also suffered minor bruises while catching hold of the fickle dog.
It is being believed that the dog was hungry and came across the unattended jar and tried putting its head inside it in order to find food. The jar then got stuck on its head.
